A group is NOT a gang. You can create or join a group where every
player is from a different gang, and you abandon the group once you
disconnect or leave it. So groups are like dynamic, little gangs.
Creating or joining a group is useful because:
- All group members share the experience gain when they
fight, instead of only the most damager receiving the experience.
You'll get experience as long you take part on the same combats that
your group.
- All group members get looting rights when defeating a
non-player character, so any group member can loot the corpse.
- The group receives an experience bonus as it gets more
complete. The lesser bonus would be a group of two (2) players, and the
greater bonus would be a group of, at least, seven (7) players. A group
can be made up to 16 players.
- You could defeat stronger opponents, surpassing your own
experience level, when grouped. The stronger the opponent, the best
experience.
More considerations:
- You can follow a group member (/follow command) just as you
can do it with a gang mate.
- Any player can create or join a group, regardless the level
or gang.
- Groups can be joined or created anytime, even inside a
fight that has already begun.
- If any group member disconnect, that player needs to join
the group again. If the disconnected player is the one that created the
group, then the group is destroyed and you'll need to create a group
again.
- A little bit more about experience sharings inside the
group. Keep in mind that it's possible that you create a group where
only a few of players, or even nobody gain experience due the
combination of player levels (see Addendum: Experience and Level).
The level rank for players that can receive experience inside a group
is ten (10). So, if somebody in your group surpasses ten (10) levels of
experience to any other group member, those low-level player(s) will not gain experience.
Player
limits and experience bonuses
|
A group can be made
up to 16 players. The group receives an experience bonus as it gets
more complete. The
lesser bonus would be a group of two (2) players, and the greater bonus
would be a group of, at least, seven (7) players.
If more than one group fights
inside the same combat, experience points are shared taking in
consideration the damage dealed by every group in that fight or, if
any, not grouped single players that hit the poor soul.
The
experience bonus is a 10% for each extra group member. For example:
a group of two players receives an experience bonus of 10%. The
greatest bonus would be in a group of seven players, where the
experience bonus is a 60%.
Creating
a group. Invite, accept & refuse
|
When not grouped, the /ginvite command
will invite someone to begin a group. The invited player must accept
that invitation by using the /gaccept
command. Once the group is created, the player who
executed the /ginvite command
becomes the group leader and only this player can invite other players
to join the group.
So, accept a group invitation using the /gaccept command, or refuse it
using /greject
If you're the group leader, invite other players the same way you
created your group, using /ginvite
Group
chatchannel,
member list, leaving the group and other leader functions
|
To use the group chat channel, use the /group
command.
The game will show a list of all the group members (below the list of
zone players, and always visible inside the fight screen). Anyway, you
can issue the /glist command
to get a list printed on your global chat window.
Any group member can leave the group anytime. Just use the /gleave command. You have to leave
to join another group.
The group leader can kick someone from the group, using the /gkick command.
To destroy the group, the group leader uses the /gdestroy command.
